My g-g-g-grandparents, Samuel BACHLOR & Catherine HOKE were married 17 Sep 1821 in Washington Co. I have never been able to prove the parents of Catherine. Elizabeth FLETCHER b. 2-21-1772 in VA. She married William LOCKHART (son of Thomas and Elizabeth (Stockton) Lockhart) on 4-21-1792 in Patrick county VA. The couple migrated to Washington county IN about 1817 and were members of the Mill Creek Church of Christ. They remained there until their deaths. Elizabeth died on 3-10-1838 in Claysville, Washington co. IN. and William died there also on 1-14-1846. They are both buried in the Mill Creek Church of Christ Cemetery in Howard twp of Washington county IN. I am desperately searching for the father of Elizabeth. I am searching for the parents of Elizabeth FLETCHER b.1772 in VA. She married William LOCKHART on 2-21-1792 in Patrick county VA. This couple shows in the 1800 census of Surry county NC. They migrated to Washington county IN about December of 1817 as land records in Washington county show the purchase. Elizabeth died March 10,1838 in Claysville,Washington county IN. Although other researchers have reffered me to the fact that it is felt that her father is Vardeman FLETCHER; I don't feel this is the case as his estimated birth of 1760-1777, leaves little chance of his being her father with her birth in 1772.However, this could indeed be her brother.
