Newburgh Register Friday June 8 1928 Mrs Margartha Kroeger was born in Germany June 19 1851, She went peacefully to her reward Saturday afternoon June 2 1928 at the home of Marion Frame near Newburgh Ind, at the age of 76 years 11 months and 14 days. She was united in 1882 to Frederick Kroeger at Summersville Indiana and to this union were born two daughters,Tillie and Anna. Besides being a devoted mother to her own daughters she also mothered her seven stepchildren with the best of love and care.Mr Kroeger preceded the wife in death nine months ago. Mrs Kroeger took the rite of confirmation of the Evangelical Church in the fatherland Apr 19 1865. Throughout her life she embraced the christain faith. While in Newburgh she attended the Zion Evangelical Church until health would not permit. She was active member of the Ladies Aid for many years. Mrs Kroeger leaves to mourn her leaving us,two daughters Mrs Tillie Frame and Mrs Anna Frame,one sister Mrs Elizabeth Huffman of Newburgh,three brothers William, Ernest and Charles Koehler of three of Evansville Ind two grandchildren and a host of friends who have learned to love her through the years. Nothing lovely ever dies But passes into other loveliness Star dusk or sea foam flower or winged air If this befall our poor unworthy flesh Think thee what destiny the soul.
