Belle Hutchinson buried today. 2--Worked at my waist and packed eggs. 3--Washed today. 4--Sewed some briggled (?) around 5--Went to a social at George Haases tonight. U.S. Simpson's first son born August 2. 6--Went to an ice cream social at Wess Metzs tonight. 7--Died Mrs. Sarah Fays. Rome Dillingham and Mr. Beckworth, Mrs. Tillie Baker here all day. 8--Went to Frank Giles today brought my canary bird home with me from Wess Metzs. 9--Died Peter Hebner, jewerlyman at Boonville. 10-Sewed today 11-Took my last music lesson of Miss Stone. 12-Old Mrs. Gowens buried today. Julia Runnels buried. 13-I took butter to the hotel. Pa and Ma went to Boonville. 14--I went to Uncle George Seitzs to stay all night. Uncle George's daughter Anna Peterman arrived there from Indi. Ter. (assume Indian Territory) with her son Elmer. 15-At Uncle Georges today went to Browns Chapel at night heard Rev. Kiper. 16-Came home this morning cut and sewed at my mother hubbard. 17-Sewed, Grace Winkler here. 18-Ironed and sewed. 19-Picked geese, sold old Grover for $30 to Chas Meyers. 20-Made my cape over, made mama one and went to the hotel with butter. 21-Went to an ice cream supper at Bakers Chapel and waited on table made $4.70. Aunt Rosa had another stroke of apalsy. 22-Papa went to Chandler to see Aunt Rosa, she is awful bad. Selma Veeck here tonight. 23-My only Aunt died this eve at 5 o-clock, Rosa B. Heim, aged 42. 24- Momma 38 yrs. old today. Got ready to go to the funeral. 25--Went to Aunt Rosa's funeral, she is buried at Asbury cemetary. Revs. March and Rawlins conducted services at church. Grandma brought the baby home with her to take care of. 26-Went to Griffin Wilkinsons after the cradle. 27-Dr. and Mary Wright here for supper. Mrs. Jennie Partridge here. 28-Lizzie Russel and Ida Yanney and John Simpson here all night. John and Ida and I all went to two story school house to an ice cream supper. 29-Uncle C. Heim here today. September 1--Belle Hoffman and Belle Johnson here from Evansville came to drink spring water. 2--Went to Mrs. F. W. Seigels and bought an embrodery needle for $1.50. 3--Canned grapes. My birthday, I'm 17. 17-Went to Bakers Chapel heard Rev. Bacon of Evansville. 18-Uncle Will Gwaltney here for supper. Grandma went to Midway. 19-Went to church heard Rev. Helwig. Went home with Laura Werry for dinner and walked home. 20-Gathered tomatoes and picked pears. 21-Samuel and Sarah White here. 22-Went to Wess Metz after apples. 23-Ironed. Saw mill moved on our land today. Wess Heugel mill. Bessie 8 yrs. old today. 24-Selma and Lydia Veeck here. 25-C. Heim of Chandler here went to an ice cream and pie supper at White School house and waited on table. 26-Went to see Ida Roth. 27-Ida Yanney came last night, sewed at my dress. 28-Went to Eckles to see Ada and John Simpson.
