Gregory, New York. His disease was cancer of the throat. He is not to be buried until the 8th of August. 25--Temperature 91 degrees at 2 p.m.; worked in the tabacco this morning and afternoon. 26--Some clouds and rain; wrote to Perry (his son). 27--Temperature 90 degrees at 2 p.m.; stacked oats and made hay. I received a good long letter from Park R.
