    3. For the person who ask abt the Indian Tribes in Early Warrick Co. I LOST YOU EMAIL ADDIE.. I found a article that states in early times and until abt 1815 the Shawnee Indian Tribe settled in Warrick Co . They set up Indian Camps near what is now Boonville,Newburgh and Yankeetown all near the Ohio River. They in 1815 or abt then a group of shawnee killed a peaceful white man named Athe Meeks. This apparently outrage many Warrick Co Residents who formed what we would now call a posse led by Ratliff Boon and Mr Bailey Anderson. The Indians led by Chief Settledown packed the women and children and tried to flee the county leaving behind cattle and horses by way of White River. Its is stated that few lived to cross the river because the women and children had slowed them down in comparison to the well sped and well mounted soldiers organized by Boon and Anderson. One other note the Shawnee settled in Warrick 's neighbor county of Vanderburgh . There was an a large settlement near Shawneetown just west of the Vanderburgh Co line near the White River in Ill. This is abt all I did find in relation to settled tribes in Warrick County. There may have been other tribes . I am not an expert on this kinda of thing so I hope it helps you.
