Nov 25 1882 Boonville Enquirer Newspaper Mr Aaron Wilson and Miss Dora Cromeans were married at 4 pm on Thursday afternoon at the residence of the brides brother Mr Geo Cromeans. Dec 2 1882 Mrs Saleta Evans founder of the Evans Hall in Evansville died last Thursday and was buried on Sunday,Mrs Evans was one the old pioneers and early settlers of the pretentious city of her residence and was the widow of the son of Gen Robt Evans for whom the city was named. NOTE MRS EVANS AND THE EVANS FAMILY ARE BURIED OAK HILL IN EVANSVILLE. HER SONS SHOT EACH OTHER TO DEATH AFTER A NIGHT OF DRINKING,THIS IS WHY EVANS HALL WAS DONATED TO THE CITY OF EVANSVILLE FOR THE PRACTICE OF TEMPERANCE. Dec 9 1882 A tribute in memory of Ruby E Knight On Tuesday evening Nov 14 1882 at 6:30 pm Miss Ruby Evangeline Knight daughter of Mr A Knight living 2 miles west of Boonville after a protracted illness from typhoid fever and pneumonia passed from among the living,The funeral services were held in Hebron Church on Newburgh & Evansville Rd.On folllowing Thursday at 2 pm Rev Darby of Evansville conducting the services after which the remains were taken to their last resting place and interred in the little graveyard on the old farm which she was born. Note RUBY KNIGHT WAS REMOVED TO ROSE HILL CEMETERY BY 1923 WHEN A CEMETERY KNOWN AS KNIGHT WAS VACATED BY THE CITY OF EVANSVILLE AT LINCOLN & GREEN RIVER RD NEAR WARRICK CO LINE. SHE WAS THE DAU OF A & TE KNIGHT. HER DATES ARE 1864-1882. ALL THE KNIGHT FAMILY WAS REMOVED AS WELL AS A FEW OTHERS FROM THIS CEMETERY.
