Esther Schmitt and Catherine Bradley visited Mrs George Lang and baby in Evansville on Monday evening. Sue Kroeger spent several days visiting her aunt Mrs Edith Crow of Boonville. Mr Ernest Silkes recieved a broken thumb while at work,his mother Mrs Charlotte Silkes is on the sick list. Mr R H Weldon 61 injured in auto accident on Hwy 66 has returned to work at his grocery. Mrs Emma Welson 59 his wife is at Welborn with bruises and fracture of the right foot. Clyde T Hall caught one of the largest catfishes that has been caught in sometime,catfish weighed in at 30 pounds,Mr Hall used capatula worm as bait. ----------------- Our Members of Armed Forces Aug 10 1951 Home on Leave Cecil Edward Jeffries he entered the navy Apr 18 1951 and finished boot camp July 28,He is home on 14 day leave.He will be sent to aviation school in Great Lakes when returning.
