Boonville Enquirer News May 1 1879 Thursday Polk Patch- A shocking accident occurred last Friday morning,Just over the county line in Spencer Co by which Henry Gray son of Wm Gray formerly of Skleton Twp in this county lost his life. He was assisting his mother in milking a unruly cow that had run away 2 or 3 times before,Henry mounted his horse and went after her when his mother found him he was unable to speak and died Saturday morning,He was buried yesterday at the Phillips cemetery,His mother and young wife of whom he married but a short time could hardly bear his bereavemnet.His young wife the daughter of Jesse Pearce. --------- May 8 1897 Thursday The body of Nathan Frank was recovered 1 mile below Mt Vernon by James Weir with his skull crushed in,His funeral was conveyed Wed at 9 am. On May 6 th at Richalnd Spencer Co Mrs Sarah E the wife of Lemual Hudson has died,She was buried in Boonville May 7th. Married on Thurday May 1st by F A Brown was Mr Martin Meece to Miss Hattie Goar both of Boonville Married May 1st at the residence of the brides father ,Miss Mary Ferguson to Dr Thomas Lamar. Married in Boonville May th by Esq. John O'Grady was Mr Samuel B Kimbal to Miss Cordelia Lynn.
