Some of you may be pleased to know that the Robert B. Cook family in Florida, which left town under a mandatory evacuation order, has returned. We came back about 6 PM, Wednesday, 9/15/99, to find our home intact, except for a few palm fronds on the ground. The streets were messy looking from limbs and fronds that had been blown down by the high winds, but very little damage was visible. I heard there were a couple of houses about three blocks from ours that had had trees fall on them and crash through the rooves (I don't believe I've ever had the opportunity to write thast word before - rooves) I drove by my brother's home and my nephew's home, both within two blocks of mine, and saw no visible damage.
