Her mother was Amanda M. Wells, born in Kentucky, August 4, 1847 and died in Selvin, Indiana November 13, 1938. Amanda's mother was Margaret B. Byers, born March 16, 1816 in Kentucky and died November 13, 1858 in Gentryville, Spencer County. Della's father was Francis Marion Lamar, born August 30, 1845 and died May 26, 1923. His mother was Sarah Pearson, born March 16, 1816 and died November 13, 1858. I have been intensely researching these lines of the family for the last six months because I am writing a history of two lines of my family, Evans & Lamar. Can you connect with any of these names? Bridget p.s. My great-grandmother's sister, Sarah Ann Lamar, married Charles Perigo. She was born in 1869 and died in 1960.
