Maybe someone can help me out. I am looking for the marriage record for Agnes Gentry to John Phillips married 1/26/1799 (?) in Surry Co, NC. and said to have settled in Warrick Co, IN after 1810. Another source says Agnes Gentry married William Hodges. I'm not sure which is correct. Maybe both? I am able to find the marriage record for Edmon Phillips (John's brother?) to Mary Chinn on line. PHILLIPS","Edmon","CHINN","Mary",1,"Dec","1806","Surry Co.","NC" But the only John Philips marriage on line in NC seems to be to someone else (copied below.) PHILLIPS","John Samuel","SEITZ","Salome",4,"May","1794","Friedland","NC" (better known as Stokes Co, NC I think) John Philips and Salome Nissen are HOHs in the 1790 Stokes Co, NC census along with Lucy and Claburn Gentry and Richard and Joseph Philips.
