I found information in my great grandmother's bible that has led me to search in Warrick County. My ggggrandfather, Ruleff S Hood was a son of William and Catherine Hood. He had siblings listed in the bible as Margaret, Mary, Clarissa, Eliza and William. The family was all said to have been born in New York. I can find record that Margaret married Lester Stocking and Eliza married Nathan Garwood in Warrick County. I am most curious about a Milton Hood listed on the 1850 and 1860 census. Milton is listed as born in NY and there is William living with them. William was 64 in 1850 and 74 in 1860. I feel certain these folks are connected since my gggrandfather was named John Milton Hood. Perhaps Milton was William Milton or Milton William and to distinquish him from his father went by Milton? If anyone has ANY information on this family I would love to hear from you. Thanks! Sherry Quade
