I thought the individual I was looking for was of the same first name, but it appears I was given his name as my middle name. So the person I am looking for would be Lloyd Barnett, probably born in the Folsomville area in the early 1920s. Thanks, Jess

Sparkman was born c. 1841....probably in Craven Co., NC..... I have yet to pin them down in NC!!! But they may have been living with another Kennon-----I'm still working on finding Lewis........ without 2 things, specifically, the tracking of our Mary Eliza Kennon Green Frederick would have been impossible....... 1. she lived long enough to have a death certificate...she died in 1912, Henderson Co., KY, wife of Jacob Frederick 2. a Ginette was the informant on the info for her death certificate (sister per census) 3. the death certificate has the parent info: mother: Sally Price and Lews Kenion Finding Lewis in 1850 was a tough job....it is really tough trying to track all the spellings of Kennon......... in 1850 there are in Crawford Co., IN.....Lewis is listed as a farmer......have to go into my gnefile to get the exact ages......Lewis, Sarah, Mary, Sparkman, and Ginette, age 1, born in Crawford..... in 1860, they are in Posey County.......Sarah has died sometime betwenn 1850-60 and the family is split up.....living with different familes........"Spark" is working as a laborer on another farm........ Since Sparkman was of the perfect age to have served in the Civil War, I hoped he would have a pension file.....but again, trying to find the name spelling has blocked that so far.... I do know he was a private in the 65th Indiana Infantry........ he is listed on the Warrick Co site as a veteran of the Civil War...........buried in Boone Township but i don't know what cemetery.......... Because of the name Sparkman, I went back to NC and found the marriage of Anthony Kinnin and Christiana Sparkman who are still alive in Beaufort Co., NC in 1840........ and had a HUGE bonus, when I found Christiana still alive in 1850 living with a son!!!! Will send you the census info and any thing else I have..... email me: lender@netrox.net Michele......glad to have found you!!

Thanks for replying. Can you tell me a bit more about him or about the family. I went to the Booneville IN courthouse several years ago and found several references to him including marriage to and divorce(a surprise to me) from my greatgrandmother Cordella Campbell. I have more information on the Campbell's and Fullers in her line. Their daughter Gertrude moved to San Antonio TX around 1900 and I grew up in her house. She always spelled the name KINNIN. Let me hear from you. Thanks again so much. Mary Lou Jobes
