The Warrick site for the American Local History Network is started. There is a link in the Warrick Index page to this site or use the URL below... http://www.rootsweb.com/~inwarri2/home.htm The site has just been loaded and I'll still be working on it tonight. Some of the links and information at the ALHN site is new and others you have seen before. The mail list and message board will be the same for the Warrick ALHN and GenWeb sites. Gilbert

Surnames: Hedges, Evans Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/Si.2ADI/1528 Message Board Post: I am looking for the parents or siblings of Indiana Hedges, b. around 1825. She married Abraham Ditchler, divorced him, then married Henry Harrison Evans March 21, 1847 (Josiah Hedges signed as a witness). Both of these marriages took place in Warrick County, Indiana. I know she is related somehow to Polly Hedges Seviers (wife of Gabriel), and Robert Hedges, Sr. and sons John and Robert Jr. due to some legal documents filed both in Warrick County, Indiana and Hopkins County, Texas regarding the estate of Robert Sr., John and Robert Jr. I also have a copy of the marriage license of Robert Hedges and Polly Little dated January 5, 1819 in Warrick County, Indiana. Also any information regarding an arson case would be appreciated. An indictment was filed April 7, 1844 on Robert Hedges and Abraham Ditchler in this matter. Ditchler and possibly Hedges were found in Gibson County, Indiana and transported to Warrick County to answer charges in the 1886 spring session of the court. Thanks for any information. Hello All-- I received this today via AikensLaughs.com I thought it was cute & wanted to share......Teri Their Ancestors The Smith's were proud of their family tradition. Their ancestors had come to America on the Mayflower. They had included Senators and Wall Street wizards. They decided to compile a family history, a legacy for their children & grandchildren. They hired a fine author. Only one problem arose--how to handle that great uncle George, who was executed in the electric chair? The author said he could handle the story tactfully. The book appeared. It said: "Great Uncle George occupied a chair of applied electronics at an important government institution, was attached to his position by the strongest of ties. And, his death came as a great shock! Teresa Jo "Teri" Dimmett 58 Cornish Hollow Rd.
