There was a Francis Nix living in Rockport, IN for the 1850 Census. listed as the head of the household. There was Oliver Brown 39, Daniel Brown 26, Edward Brown 24 and 2 Nix children living with her. I assume that she had been married to a son of John Nix (son's name unknown) and that the three Brown's were her brothers. I have three names that I assume were Francis's children, America Nix b: abt 1830, Rebecca A. Nix b: abt 1831 (m: Stephen Crawford) and Edward S. Nix b: abt 1840. Are any of the above names familiar or do you know anything about this family

Posted on: Warrick County In. Query Forum Board URL: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/In/Warrick?read=1164 Surname: ------------------------- Rose Hill Cemetery, WArrick Co. IN. Mary Louise....This won;t help a whole lot, but from some research I did a number of years ago, Aeneas McCallister was first buried in the Knight Cemetery, at the corner of Green River Road and Lincoln Avenue in Evansville IN, Vanderburgh Co. When that cemetery was moved in the 1950's, the remains were dispersed to three cemeteries: Oak Hill, Evansville; Rose Hill, Newburgh; and an old cemetery on South Green River Road, (name escapes me now) just south of I 164. Aeneas ws supposed to have been one moved to Rose Hill. And old notation I once made, source was a book at the Newburgh Library, states lot 12. As to what section, etc. I don;t know. Not a lot to go on, but that is where he is supposed to be.
