    3. Boonville Enquirer Oct 26 1878 LYNVILLE Louis, infant child of R A and Mollie Miles, died on the 13th last, and it's little body was consigned to the silent tomb on Saterday, where it will sleep until the morning of the resurrection of the just. Ira Caswell, one of the oldest and most prominent citizens of Hart township, died on the 16th, at his residence, four miles south east of this place, in the 65th year of his age. The deceased had been a resident of this township for over 40 years, had been a member of the church for a number of years and was a christian in truth and deed. He was not only a professor, but he was a possessor of that pure and undefiled religion which casteth out all fear. In the wide circle of his friends and acquaintances his integrity and honesty was equal to his bond, for none doubted his word. He lived and died without an enemy. Being blessed with a competency of this world's goods. He did not use his wealth for his own benefit alone, but feeling that it was placed in his hands for humane and religious purposes, he gave it freely to the poor and needy. The day following his demise his body was conveyed to the Mt Zion Church, followed by a large concourse of friends and neighbors. The funeral ceremony was conducted by Rev. L Wilson

    2. Hey,,, First, it's not Warwick, it's Warrick. That's an easy mistake because I think there is some area spelled as Warwick somewhere in England. I attended Evansville College (now University of Evansille, in Indiana), with a fellow named Gene (Eugene ? Southwood), back in the late '40s and early '50s. Their alumni office might be able to help you with his current address. Hope this helps a little. I love this genealogy! Cookie, in Florida

His mother was Sarah Pearson, born March 16, 1816 and died November 13, 1858. I have been intensely researching these lines of the family for the last six months because I am writing a history of two lines of my family, Evans & Lamar. Can you connect with any of these names? Bridget p.s. My great-grandmother's sister, Sarah Ann Lamar, married Charles Perigo. She was born in 1869 and died in 1960.

    1. Re: [INWARRIC] Nix/Brown Descendants
    2. M. Kathleen Felsted
    3. Hello Robert, I am assuming that Daniel, Oliver and Edward are 3 of the sons of Joseph Brown, who lived in Spencer County, IN from about 1816 - 1840, when they moved up to Porter County, IN. Some of the sons went over to Scott County, MO during the 1830's - 40's and were doing some flatboat work. This is my line and I don't know what their relationship to the Nix family. Joseph and his oldest son, Presley, both died in 1850 in Porter County, IN. Daniel Clinton is my direct ancestor and he and Presley's son, Daniel Clinton, and Edward (and probably others) moved to Lancaster, NE about 1860's (I assume for the free land there). They are buried there and I am having trouble getting their death information from the Wyuka Cemetery. I can't find out what happened to Oliver. There is an Oliver B Brown who married 2 times in Montgomery County, IN and 1 time in Union County, IN. Don't know if this is our Oliver or not. I have not seen the name Nix in any of our Brown line; however, there are 4 Brown children that are unaccounted for out of the 13 children Joseph had. Francis could very well be a daughter of Joseph. I have not seen her married to a Nix; but when I get the marriage records of Hardin County, Nelson Co., KY and Spencer County, Warrick County, IN perhaps she will show up there. Where were the Nixes before Warrick? There is also the possiblitiy that the brothers were boarders? Joseph married Susan (Susannah) Carter in 1808 in Hardin County. This family and others moved to Spencer County, IN with Thomas Lincoln and left Spencer County with Lincoln and others when they moved north. There are Browns that appear in Illinois with Lincoln and I assume they are also related; but have not figured that out yet! Do you have any other information? BTW, our Brown family also married into the Crawford family in NE...sounds like these are relatives traveling together. Where did your Nix family end up? Here is hopin'. Kathie > The Descendants of John Nix, some of who migrated to Warrick County,IN. > There was a Francis Nix living in Rockport, IN for the 1850 Census. listed > as the head of the household.
