    3. Lafayette Weekly Journal Dayton Items June 12, 1903 The K. of P. memorial services were well attended last Sunday. The exercises were held in the cemetery, where Mr. Monyham, of Orleans, Ind., delivered the address. The I.O.O.F., G.A.R. and Rathbone Sisters joined in the march which was led by the Dayton band. Vocal music was furnished by the K. of P. octette, composed of Messrs. Hooker, Freeman, Smith, Sharpe, Baer, McBride, Paden and Taylor. Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Kahl entertained... August 7, 1903 [Interurban being built.] August 28, 1903 Miss Ely, of Wabash, is the guest of Mrs. Lawrence Nicely. Mrs. D. A. Dryer and Mrs. E. E. Thompson are spending two weeks at Bass Lake. Miss Pearl Hill who has been ill for several years, passed away at about noon on last Tuesday. Her sisters have the sympathy of the entire neighborhood in their great loss. Miss Madge Oates, of Peru, was the guest of Mrs. B. C. Sharpe last week. Mrs. Sam Dryer and children are the guests of Mrs. Major Dryer. Mr. Jacob Burton has been on the sick list. Harry Freeman, the hustling young elevator man, is having his annual siege of hay fever at present.
