    1. [INTIPPEC] James/Mary KELLEY, 1850s, Greenbush Cemetery

    3. Hello, Thought I'd freshen up my last post on a surname I'm stuck with in Lafayette. I've been looking for any further info on a James KELLEY (may possibly also be spelled KELLY), who was buried in Sept, 1853, at age 60 in Greenbush Cemetery. Along with him were his daughter, Catherine, and also Mary--possibly his wife, but with no dates available on the data. Also buried in the same plot is Mable STEPHENS, d Sept 21, 1870, aged 11 mo 21 days. I have no idea who Mable might be, though it might be one of Catherine's sons' children, as Catherine married a STEVENS and had three sons before she died in the late 1850s. There are some other James KELLEYs in Lafayette in the 1850 census, but they do not appear to be mine. My James K is most likely from Ireland, possibly having arrived within the 10 years or less before his death, I'm guessing. QUESTION: does anyone have access to an index for 1870 census who could check it for an infant Mable STEPHENS for me, checking alternate spelling STEVENS also, and also "Mabel"?? I'd really appreciate it. I'd like to know how this child ties into my family line. If any of these names sound familiar to anyone else on this list, I'd appreciate hearing from you.
