The young couple had just arrived from a trip into Eastern Ohio, and found a large number of their friends from near the home, of the groom’s father and Chauncy, including Rev Martin of Chauncy. After all had congratulated the young couple they were shown into the dining hall where a table was spread before them laden with all the sweets and good things that the heart could wish for. All expressed themselves as having a good time. The young couple will reside with the bride’s father, Mr C M TERRY, of Chauncy, until spring, when they will build a house for themselves in the town of Chauncy (Lafayette, Indiana Newspaper, Monday, January 4, 1886)
