    1. [INTIPPEC] Re: Wyandotte Cemetery aka Goldsberry Cemetery?
    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: Goldsberry, Heaton Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/Hi.2ADI/1880.2 Message Board Post: I don't know for sure, but the name Goldsberry Cemetery probably has something to do with the marriage between Peter Putnam GOLDSBERRY and Amelia HEATON. Amelia was the daughter of William Heaton, the entrepreneur who bought the land that would be the site of Wyandott(e), both town and cemetery, about 1830 and filed a plat for the town about 1844. See the bio of Randolph GOLDSBERRY at http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/message/553/localities.northam.usa.states.indiana.counties.tippecanoe/1650 --Susan ---original message--- I forgot to ask in my previous message - Why is the Wyandotte Cemetery also known as the Goldsberry Cemetery? It does have a few Goldsberrys buried there, but there are also a lot of other families, so I wouldn't think it was because of how many Goldsberrys there are.
