Morning Tippecanoe List, I wanted to point out a better way to post your family obituaries or bibles. If you use the Tippecanoe County Rootsweb message boards, they are fed/forwarded to us on the Tippecanoe Co. email list. Postings on these boards they will stay out there for the public to find years later. Try using the search box on the board that's says [VEW MESSAGE TYPE] http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec?htx=board&r=an&p=localities.northam.usa.states.indiana.counties.tippecanoe You will find >Obituaries-Bibles-Cemetery-Biographies, Marriage, and more< By leaving your obituaries on the boards anyone who comes searching later for your family messages and can find them years later. It seem it take mine an average of 5 years before someone finds my queries and responds, but they do. My point is that others will not find your obituary posted on this email list unless they read the archives. It's not as likely they will do that. The message boards are a better choice for you and future researchers. Also, you have to remember to go back to the boards and reply to someone that places a message there. That is what this Gateway business dose for our county mailing list. >This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list.< I'm sending this link to browse the email list if you haven't don't that before. This is kind of fun to read or search if you haven't done this before, they go back to January 1998. http://lists.rootsweb.com/index/usa/IN/tippecanoe.html See the very bottom for browsing. Way to go with all the obits this weekend! I'm going back to look for some of mine. Have fun, L.A.
