She was remarried and her husband filed a application for pension on behalf of Ida P. Fisher, minor child of Elisha and Elizabeth Fisher. Elisha Fisher was born March 13, 1835, in either Allegany or Lvingston Co., NY, and was the son of Isaac Fisher and Martha Gee. ============================================================================== The State of Indiana Tippecanoe County On this fifth day of November AD 1862 personally appeared before me David R. Vinton Judge of the Common Pleas Court in and for the county of Tippecanoe in the state of Indiana, ELIZABETH A. FISHER a resident of Tippecanoe County in the state of Indiana, aged twenty-eight years, who being duly sworn according to law doth on her oath make the following Declaration. That she is the widow of ELISHA B. FISHER who was a corporal in company "H" Captain William H. Bryan of the Fortieth Regiment of Indiana Infantry volunteers, commanded by Colonel John W. Blake. That he volunteered at LaFayette Indiana about the fifth day of November AD 1861, and remained in the service in said company and Regiment until the First day of October AD 1862 on which day he died of Congestive Chill at Litchfield in the State of Kentucky in the service of the United States, and of disease contracted in said service. She further declares that her maiden name was TOLBY and that she was married to the said Elisha B. Fisher in the County of Tippecanoe in the State of Indiana on the Twenty-first day of August AD 1859 as is proven by a certified copy of the record of said marriage hereto annexed and marked "A". She further declares, that she has remained a widow ever since the death of said Elisha B. Fisher, and now is a widow. That this is but one child surviving which was the fruit of her said marriage with the said Elisha B. Fisher, ToWit: Ida P. Fisher born the eighth day of July AD 1862 and now a resident of Tippecanoe County in the State of Indiana. She further declares that she has not in any manner been engaged in or sided or abetted the rebellion now existing in the United States. She makes this declaration for the purpose of obtaining the benefit of the provision of the Act of Congress of the United States approved July 14 1862 granting pensions to widows of deceased officers and soldiers, and she hereby constitutes and appoints Mark Jones and Lewis C. Pierce of LaFayette Indiana, her true and lawful attorneys to prosecute this her application for a _______________ (last line cut off when copied) therefore when issued. Snyder 28 December 1867 The State of Indiana Tippecanoe County On this 28th day of December AD 1867 personally appeared before me Daniel Royse clerk of the Civil Circuit Court within and for the county and state aforesaid David H. Snyder, a resident of Battle Ground in Tippecanoe County and State of Indiana aged 37 years, who being by me duly sworn according to law doth an oath make the following declaration as the guardian of Ida P. Fisher minor child of Elisha B. Fisher, deceased, in order to obtain the benefits of the provision made by the act of Congress approved July 14, 1862, granting pensions to minor children of deceased officers and soldiers. That he is the guardian of Ida P. Fisher whose father was a corporal in Company "H" commanded by Captain William H. Bryan in the Fortieth Regiment of Indiana Infantry volunteers in the war of 1861 that the said Elisha B. Fisher died at Litchfield, Kentucky, on the first day of October AD 1862 of congestive chill. That the mother of the child aforesaid again married being now the wife of ! David H. Snyder, on the 21st day of September in the year 1867 and that the date of birth of his said ward Ida P. Fisher was July 8th 1862 which is the only child of said Elisha B. Fisher and resides with its mother in Tippecanoe County, Indiana. He further declares that the parents of his said ward were married in the state of Indiana on the 21st day of August AD 1859 by R.T. Brown a minister of the gospel. David H.
