I would email your request because then you have a record of it and can ask her the status easier. My request was lost in 'limbo' for awhile because she got so busy that she never finished typing in the email to the historical society, until I called her. It was a simple mistake and she was very nice and apologetic. If I had noticed the email address, she would not have had to type in my request, she only would have had to forward it. Hope this helps.
