Hello List I'm looking for the family of DAVID ELMORE that came to Randolph Twp., Tippecanoe Co., IN by the 1830 Cenus. He bought 40 Acres in the 22-N Twp. which I would presume is Randolph Twp. at the Crawfordsville Federal Land Patent Office on 30 Mar 1837. >From what I have read he is the son of MATHIAS ELMORE and ELIZABETH APPLETON of SC. I'm interested the desendents of DAVID and his wife PHEBE PUGH. I have a MARGARET (MARY) ELMORE born 1836-38 in IN that is first mentioned in the 1850 Tippecanoe Twp., Tippecanoe Co., IN Census in the family of JAMES E. BENAMS (sp) (not sure about last 3 letters) age 33 b. OH and his wife MARY age 30 b. KY with 3 small children age 9/12-8. MARGARET ELMORE married JACOB SWATTS 9 Apr 1857 Carroll Co., IN and is buried in the Pittsburgh, IN Cemetery both dieing 11 Mar 1876. I believe MARGARET ELMORE is either a daughter or grand daughter to DAVID ELMORE. CAN ANYBODY HELP ME WITH INFORMATION ON THIS FAMIY? Thanks Joe Evans
