Listed in the 1930 census of Tippecanoe County is: Carmen (Ripley) Overton, married but no husband listed. Also listed is Carmen's three daughters; Jane Overton, b. 1926; Betty Overton, b. 1927, & Patricia Overton, b. 1928. Listed with Carmen and daughters is lCarmen's mother, Ruth Ripley. Ruth Ripley is the only full sister of my grandfather, Wilbur Wilson Faulkner. I have searched for about 25 years for Ruth (her name is actually Octavia) Faulkner Ripley and her daughter, Carmen. I have so much family history to share with Jane, Betty and Patricia so if anyone knows these ladies or what became of them I would love to meet them or their descendents and share family information, pictures and letters. They are listed in Lafayette in 1920 and in 1930, Carmen Overton was a propriator of a bording house in Lafayette and Ruth Ripley was a cook in a restaurant.
