Hello, Through some research with TIPCOA I found John R. Robinson who married Mary A. Mote. They were married in Tippecanoe September 14, 1880. He is in the 1870 Census along with brothers and sister's he is 17 years old. He had a brother called Jesse. On this census it names his father as Joseph Robinson. Then in the 1860 Census there is another Robinson family naming a child John R. he is 7. There is a brother William. One clue I do have is that he and Mary had a son named William. Naming patterns suggests several Jesse Robinson's. In a probate record for Jesse W. Robinson it names his son John R. Robinson (20). And, this is from the same family as in the 1870 census. I don't know which tree to bark up. Would there be anyone on the list who is researching these families? Thank you Jean Hehn
