Jane, Dayton is in Sheffield Township. East of Lafayette on Hwy 38. http://www.rootsweb.com/~intippec/townships.htm There are some neat articles written in the local papers that tell of the news happenings in these little towns around Lafayette. These newspapers are all on microfilm today, unless someone has the original newspapers saved. Thank you Susan for adding these news bits to the list. They do help place our people in a timeline.
