Roseberry was not buried there. To be sure about this,he was asked if there was any possibility that Guy was buried there and just not on the computer. He said that everyone was included so it was impossible for Guy to be buried there. I sent them the following email today: Dear Sirs: William Guy Roseberry age 83 died Oct 06, 1957 Tippecanoe County, Ind. death record in book S 32 number 114. It states he is buried at Crown Hill cemetery in Indianapolis, Ind. Last week a family member visited your Cemetery and she emailed me about her visit. She states, " I went to Crown Hill Cemetery in Indianapolis and talked with the people there. The ONLY Roseberrys buried there are Samuel and his wife, Anna. The man was very nice and even tried calling other cemeteries in the area, but he was unable to find where Guy was buried. He said that most cemeteries are going online to keep up with trends. He suggested that we get a list of cemeteries in the area and start checking them online or by telephone. He was unable to reach New Crown Hill Cemetery which is another possibility. To be sure about this, I asked him if there was any possibility that Guy was buried there and just not on the computer. He showed me his computer screen and went through almost all the “R” listings. He said that everyone was included so it was impossible for Guy to be buried there." Based upon the information contained above in the first sentence, it appears that it is very likely that William Guy is buried at Crown Hill Cemetery. I am wondering if whoever was responsible for entering data into your computer system may have accidentally ommitted his burial from your data base. His death was about 6 months after you opened the 38th Street addition in April of 1957 according to your web site. I assume that the "New" Crown Hill Cemetery the gentleman referred to is the 38th Street addition. The family would really appreciate it if you would make another attempt to search your paper records to see if Guy's burial was not entered into your computer records. Sincerely, Robert F. Roseberry The Cemetery replied: Your E-Mail regarding William G. Roseberry was forwarded to me today. I have searched for his interment by name as well as date. I didn't find him listed in any of our records. I also called New Crown Cemetery, which is not affiliated with Crown Hill Cemetery, located off of Raymond Street in Indianapolis, they didn't have anyone buried there with that name. I would suggest that you go back to Tippecanoe County and find out what Funeral Home handled his services and go from there. They should have record of where he was buried. You may also want to try getting a death certificate or an obituary. For a death certificate you can contact the Indiana State Department of Health (317) 233-2700. To obtain an obituary call the Indiana State Library (317) 232-3664. Sorry we couldn't be of more help. Sincerely, Melissa O'Brien Customer Service Manager Crown Hill Cemetery I hate to impose upon you, but I would like to know the source of your information. Do you have any idea of which Funeral Home in Lafayette handled the arrangements for his burial? Bob
