Having taken a look at the photo of the inscription, I think it could read like this: Peter Christman and Sarah Stout Christman Pioneers of Warren County: Peter Christman, farmer, stockman, and millwright, was born in Guilford County, North Carolina, moved to Preble County, Ohio in 1804, where he married Sarah Sout. (This is where the marriage date error occured, folks failed to see the capitol A, in about, and a period affter Stout.) About 1827, they moved to Tippecanoe County, Indiana, and then in 1829 to Warren County, Indiana where he built his pioneer homestead and tilled the soil. Later, he pursued his trade of millwright and built several grist mills in western Indiana and eastern Illinois. Their children were: David, Joseph, Isaac, Daniel, Anna Crouse, Mary Crouse, Sarah Schoonover, Eliza Mitchell, Susannah Schoonover (which was the present James C. Schoonover's grandmother) and Lavinia Chenoweth. Cheers, Eelia Descendent of Eliza Chrisman and Abner Mitchell.
