John Schaerer. He was born Jan 1837 in Switzerland and died 04 Dec 1916 Lafayette, Tippecanoe Co., IN. He was married to Mary Margaret Laemlin. He has also been found by the names John Scherer (1880 census) and John Shar (1870 census). I have found this record about his death: Rev. John Schaerer died, 4 Dec 1916, @ 79 years, in Lafayette, Tippecanoe Co., Ind. according to Indiana Death Rcds. and the LaFayette Journal and Courier Newspaper Index: 1902-1952. I have tried to search for a cemetery in Lafayette with him in it without luck. Any information on him or his wife would be great. Thanks
