Judy, I have "A List Of Photographers In Lafayette, Indiana" from the Alameda McCollough (sp?) Library of the Tippecanoe Co. Hist. Assn. It shows 1873-1899 for S.D. Phillips and 1881-1899 for H.C. Rising.
