I am trying to determine when George arrived in Tippecanoe County and from where, whether they really were married in Lafayette, as well as when they left and where they were headed. I have located Ella in the 1850 Census residing with her family in Wabash Twp family 174. I have also located A George Brown, not necessarily THE George, residing in Selby Twp family 45. He is shown with a wife and three children. The age is about right, but the birth place, PA, is not, my George Gibson Brown was born in Shipton, Quebec. If this is my George Gibson Brown, then this is a family for which I have no information. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. I'm planning on being in Lafayette in early June to do some research so recommendations on local resources would be most helpful. Thank you. Mel Brown
