I do not know what county in OH this Joseph HARDESTY was born in, in fact I know very little about this gentleman except I found him living in Davis County, IA and that is where he died ca 1851. I believe he had a daughter Elizabeth that married a Joseph FOUNTAIN in Davis Co., IA as he was the administrator of the estate of Mary HARDESTY that was the wife of Joseph HARDESTY. She may have been the 2nd wife but I am not certain of this. There is a possibility that this family lived in IN prior to finally settling in Davis Co., IA Below please find the information that was on the 1850 census for Davis Co., IA.
