She is a native of North Carolina, having been born in Surry county, June 21, 1782. After marriage she removed with her husband to Clark county, Ky., and then afterwards lived in various parts of the State. She was the mother of eighteen children, all but four of whom are dead. Mrs. EDWARDS is blind, but possesses all her faculties. Over 1000 persons scattered through Kentucky, Indiana, Ohio and Illinois call Mrs. EDWARDS grandma, and she has over 200 great grandchildren, more than thirty of whom reside in Gallatine (sic) county, Ky.
