We have an ideal community, our grade school is among the best in the county, and from a moral standpoint there is no use for the big stick. The local justice has not had a case of violation of law for several years, the moral atmosphere is ideal and with the facilities offered by the traction road a man may live here and do business in Lafayette and his family will be free from the vices that are found in the city. There are a few desirable properties that can be bought at a bargain that offers a quiet and desirable home, where a man may enjoy the quiet of a suburban home. There are seven lodges and two churches, all in a flourishing condition. There is no saloon and has not been for several years, and the moral and religious sentiment is such that, there is no probability of there ever being one. The quiet of the town and community ! is such that the local scribe of the Courier finds it hard to get items for his weekly budget of news that would be of sufficient interest to warrant publication.
