Looking for Bonnie Strawn. Can you email me please? (Has to do w/your web site.) Ruthie
I am looking for info on a May or Mary STEVENS (I've seen it both ways in the census repts) who lived in Lafayette in 1900 and 1910 on Queen Street at what was originally her grandmother Eliza (Murdock) STEVENS' property, with her mother Mary and stepfather Edward MACKESSY. By 1920, she is not listed there anymore. On the Tippecanoe website, I took a look at the index for the newspaper 1900-1950, and saw an entry for a May Stevens and Lewis O'Counell married Nov 24, 1913. However, I can't find any entry for an O'Counell in the census for 1930, and am wondering if that is a misspelling on the newspaper index. Does anyone have access locally to the marriage records that could cross check that for me? I'd hate to think I was barking up the wrong tree w the misspelling... Thanks in advance. --Jacqi
