    2. Susan Y. Clawson
    3. Looking for information on Rachel Ellen LARGE, who lived with Fannie EHRESMAN after her parents both died between 1880 and 1891. I am looking for a record that would put her in the Ehresman household. In 1880, her parents were still living, and she is with them. Fannie Ehresman lived with her widowed father until his death in 1894. Then she moved to Livingston Co, IL. In 1900, Rachel was 22, and I can't find her in the census, but Fannie is alone in Illinois. In 1901 Rachel married Daniel Wertz. Rachel was b. in 1878 and was the daughter of Harvey Large and Annis Little. Harvey is said to be buried in Hollywood cemetery in Buck Creek, but exact death dates are apparently not known. There were several other children in the family: Eliza Jane and Charles Albert (children of Harvey's first wife Rachel Grose) and Jackson, Mary Minnie, William Henry, and Julia Ann (children of Harvey and Annis). Julia and Rachel were twins. Thank you.

    3. This link came up in another mailing list I subscribe to. It looks like it could be potentially useful. You can go into specific counties and it will show a list of towns for that county. I am not sure if it shows ALL towns and each town listed has dates beside it that I think are the dates that they have found post marks from (not the dates that town was in existence) but I'm not sure about that. It's worth checking out, I found several towns on the list that I'd never heard of before. http://postalhistory.com/postoffices.asp __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
