I have written a history of the Scottish settlement that centered on Caledonia Presbyterian Church (vastly expanded from one written a=more than 25 years ago pre-internet) It is available in PDF form upon request. It is a 186-page document The history covers the origins of the families in Scotland; migration patterns; history in Jefferson County. The final section has a "census" of Scottish families known to have come to Jefferson and Switzerland Counties. It provides a short history of the original immigrants and listings of their children Bob Scott

Sounds like a good book. Too bad my great grandfather came from around hike and came in through Canada Wisconsin and ended up in Kansas I don’t know which account you were talking about but I know it’s not in my area but good luck to all of you. Research is so much fun and I did on it for over 60 years until my vision went Jerilyn Koskan > On May 7, 2018, at 8:11 AM, Eloine <eloinec@comcast.net> wrote: > > Hi cousin Bob - I'd like to have a copy of your Scottish settlement. history Your work is always so well researched and I look forward to reading it. > > Eloine Chesnut > eloinec@comcast.net > ________________ > >> On 5/6/2018 2:40 PM, bobwscott--- via INSWITZE wrote: >> I have written a history of the Scottish settlement that centered on Caledonia Presbyterian Church (vastly expanded from one written a=more than 25 years ago pre-internet) >> >> It is available in PDF form upon request. The Scottish Town was HEWICK. I’m sorry that when I speak it doesn’t always interpret correctly but good luck on your research and you better find out the correct address because this is it right unless it’s getting screwed up at AOL Jerilyn Koskan > On May 7, 2018, at 9:51 AM, Jerilyn Koskan via INSWITZE <inswitze@rootsweb.com> wrote: > > Sounds like a good book. Rootsweb lists have been inactive for a time so we might need a reminder that all members of the group will receive a copy of every message that is sent to the group. Just delete the messages that hold no interest for you. With that said, I do not manage this group. In the past, I have managed 14 Rootsweb groups and know how they operate. Lynne D. Miller
Do you have an Albion Jackson in your history? I am looking for information about Susannah Jackson who married David Potts. Albion may have been her father, and his son was also named Albion Jackson. If so, I would also like a copy of what you have written. Thank you so much.
