The following day, May 29th, his wife, Amy/Amie Hyler Butts purchased clothing for Arthur to be buried in from Moses, S & J Livingston Clothiers at 110-112 N Michigan St in South Bend, IN. That same day a casket and services were paid for to B F Price, Funeral Director, at 126 No Michigan St. Arthur was buried at Oak Hill Cemetery in Battle Creek, MI on May 31st, 1901. According to the files at the cemetery, Arthur and Amy, and their two small sons were residents (probably renters)of South Bend, IN at the time of Arthur's death. To date I've been unable to find an obituary for Arthur and feel possibly one might exist in South Bend. A hand written note from a book of Amy's recorded this information: "Arthur E Butts was born Nov. 8, 1868 died May 28, 1901 at 8:40 PM". I'm unsure if Arthur died in a medical facility or at home. Any help from someone in that area would be greatly appreciated. I'm a senior citizen, living on a small fixed income in AZ and know there is no way I'll ever be able to travel to IN to hopefully find the information I'm seeking.
