Bast. Robert W. Bast, aged 46 years, died Tuesday in the Cook County hospital, Chicago. He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Minnie Bast, of Chicago; two brothers, Ernest J. Bast, of Michigan, and Harry Bast, of South Bend, and two sisters, Mrs. F. C. Freyermuth and Mrs. W. Seldier/Seidler/Seldler?, of South Bend. He was born in Germany and moved to Chicago 17 years ago. He was employed as a bookeeper. Private funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock from the residence of his brother, Harry Bast, 208 East Ohio street. Rev. F. H. Nueller, of the German Methodist church, will officiate. Interment will be in the city cemetery. The body was brought to South Bend to-day. Mr. Bast was a member of the order of the Eagles.
