She recently underwent three operations for tumors at Epworth [Memorial] hospital. She is rapidly improving. Mrs. I. H. Gilman, living five miles south of Mishawaka in Madison township, who was seriously injured some months ago, is not as well and her condition continues to be regarded as very serious. Charles Chamberlain, of Warren township, pleasantly entertained Wednesday in honor of his 75th birthday anniversary. The affair was in the nature of a surprise and was well attended, a large circle of relatives and friends being present. After a bountiful dinner music and other pleasures were enjoyed. The guests presented their impromptu host with a handsome rocker.
