Submitted by Georgia Gill-Elkins South Bend Tribune Aug 13, 1892 p. 12 Slocum, Dunlavy Benjamin Slocum The funeral services of Benjamin Slocum were held at the M. E. Church on sunday at 2 p.m. conducted by Rev. H. H. LDunlavy. Mrs. Slocum died in South Bend the result of a paralytic stroke some time previous, ate 51 years. He leaves a wife and 12 children, six boys and six girls, who were in attendance at the funeral. The Masonic order was present in a body and conducted the burial ceremonies at the Hamilton Cemetery. *************************************************************** Submitted by Georgia Gill-Elkins South Bend Tribune March 13, 1917 sec. 1 p. 5 March 14, 1917 sec. 1 p. 5 Miller, Annis, Dean Mrs. Thomas Miller Word has been received of the death of Mrs. Thomas Miller, age 83, years, which took place Monday at 12 o'clock at the home of her daughter Mrs. C. E. Annis at Lakeville, In. Besides Mrs. Annis she is survived by another daughter Miss Erma Miller also of Lakeville. Mrs. Miller was born in Ohio, Oct. 15, 1833, and has lived in the vicinity for the past 69 years. She was married in St. Joseph County, Dec. 3, 1859, to Thomas Miller. Funeral service will be held at the Methodist Church and burial will be in the Lakeville Cemetery. Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Methodist church Lakeville, Rev. Mr. Dean officiating. Burial will be in the Lakeville Cemetery. Funeral services will be private and will be held at the residence at 2:30 o'clock Friday afternoon, Rev. W. H. Death followed an illness of two years. she is survived by two children, Mrs. M. E. Carrier, South Bend, and Louis Clemens, Marshalltown Ia,: a brother Victor Stoltz, Vigalin, Calif., and a sister Mrs. John Fritzer, this city. She was born in Maximo O., June 24, 1840, and had lived here most of her life. Funeral services will be at 2:30 o'clock Friday after noon. Rev. R. H. Cowder officiating. Edwards Miss Anna E. Edwards, age 79, years, Center township, died Tuesday night at 7 o'clock at the residence of her brother, Charles H. Edwards. Death was cause by pneumonia, following an illness of four days. She was born in Burlington County, New Jersey, Nov. 26, 18?9, and had lived here for 23 years, coming from Burlington. Besides her brother, Charles Edwards, she is survived by another brother H. C. Edwards, of Fort Smith, Ark. The funeral will be held at the residence at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon, Rev. C. A. Decker officiating. Death followed an illness of about one year. Mr. Ott is survived by his wife, four children, Clarence E. Ott, William O. Ott and Mrs. Albert Jay of this city and Mrs. Frank Mowiser of Marshall County, Indiana and the following half brothers, and sisters; Mrs. Edward Berger, Bremen; Samuel Carbeiner this county; Joseph Wolmer and Benjamin Carbeiner of Lucas, Kan., and Peter Carbeiner of Pueblo, Calif. He was born in Germany in 1847, and had lived in South Bend most of his life. Mr. Ott served during the civil war with Company K 29th Indiana Volunteers and was a member of Auten Post No 8 G. A. R.
