    1. Re: [INSTJOSE] Briggs Family
    2. Steven--- I just saw your post at Ancestry World Trees. You have actually located the ancestry of a relative of mine, Robert W. Briggs, of North Liberty (Feb 1849-1Jan 1929), who married Helindia Irvin (who was a cousin of my Irvin family line from North Liberty). I see that your Isaac Briggs was a brother to my William C. Briggs, the father of Robert. William C. Briggs married one Charlotte Wilson! I am just starting this search, but I'm on the trail. Incidentally, the only child of Robert Briggs and Helindia Irvin was James W. Briggs, b. 1873, who went west to North Dakota and lived with some Briggs family there--could they be some of your "lost" Briggs relatives? James W. Briggs later became a prominent citizen of Idaho, in the early 1900s. There is some interesting information about him and his Indiana heritage if you check "Family & Local Histories" at Ancestry.com----James W. Briggs---Idaho History p. 353 of 452. ---Bob Robertson In a message dated 2/16/06 4:58:35 PM Pacific Standard Time, [email protected] writes: Looking for information on the Thomas Briggs family. He married Rebecca Wilson. They had at least 2 sons, Isaac and David. Thomas died and is buried in St. Joseph in 1853. Need help putting this family together. Steven Briggs
