From Rick B Thursday, February 16, 2006 "The South Bend Weekly Tribune", Saturday, October 2, 1897, page 5 Harry Upson, the boy indicted for the Neddo-Druliner burglary, was arraigned and changed his plea to guilty. After the statement by State's Attorney Slick Mr. J. G. Orr addressed the court in behalf of the boy. saying that his mother had been deserted by her husband 10 years ago and is employed in the shirt factory; that the boy was suspended from school and fell into bad company on the street and was led into criminal ways by an older boy. Counsel said the boy claimed he was not in the house at all, but received the stolen goods. In view of the circumstances Judge Hubbard released the boy on good behavior.
