Gill, 76, of South Bend, Ind, peacefully went to be with the Lord at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, May 10, in her residence. Betty was born on Jan. 2, 1927, in Gothenburg, Neb. to Joseph and Sedonia (Potts) Mc Adams. She was preceded in death by four brother and two sisters. She married Paul D. Gill on Aug 11, 1947, in Norton, Kan. He survives. She is also survived by two sons, Douglas (Barbara) Gill of Osceola, Ind and Darrell (Sharon) Gill of Mishawaka, Ind., nine grandchildren, Douglas, Jr. Tonya, Darrell, JR., Jason, Justin, Kimberly, Warren, Sherry and Tony: and by 10 great grandchildren, Kaley, Kaitlyn, Sara, Branden, Christpher, Brianna, Mikayla, Brittany, Jason Jr., and Garrett. Service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 14, in the Morning Star Funerals & Cremations 21275 W. Cleveland Road, South Bend. Rev. Al Akuchie, a family friend from Mansfield, Ohio will officiate. Committal services will follow at Highland Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today, May 13, in the funeral home. She was born in Arlington, Tenn., and came to South Bend in 1945 from Memphis. She was married in 1945 to Andrew Jack Gill who survives. Also surviving are two sons. Lee Andrew of South Bend and Clifton Elton who is in the Air Force. Arrangements for the funeral are being made by the Haynes Funeral Home. Wright, 1514 N. Adams St., died at 1:10 a.m. today in the Frame Nursing Home after several years illness. She was born in Schoolcraft. Mich, April 26, 1871, and came here 30 years ago from White Pigeon, Mich. She was married in Schoolcraft to Freeland L. Gill, who died in 1937 ? Survivors include a grandson. Friends may call after 3 p.m. Sunday in the Welsheimer Funeral Home. She was a member of the Royal Neighbors Lodge in Schoolcraft. GILL-Friends of Mrs. Alma C. Gill 611 East Fourth Street, died at 10:25 p.m. Tuesday in St. Joseph hospital. The child had been ill since last Saturday. He was born in Mishawaka March l8, 1939. Surviving beside his parents are one brother, Charles Robert at home, and his grandparents, Mrs. and Mrs. James Edward Gill, of Lapaz, this county, and Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Wagner, of Mishawaka. Friends will be received in the residence until 11 a.m. Thursday when the body will be taken to Bubb chapel where funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Rev. W. J. Gill Feb. 5, 1919 - Dec. 9, 2002 SOUTH BEND-Andrew Jack Gill, 83, of North Ironwood Drive, died Monday in Memorial Hospital. Survivors include a son, Lee A. of St. Joseph; and two brothers, Carlton J. and Paul, both of South Bend. Service will be at 1 p.m. Friday in Alford's Mortuary, where friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today. Andrew J. Gill Feb. 5, 1919 - Dec. 9, 2002 Mr. Andrew J. Gill, 83, beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother, was taken from our midst at 9:38 p.m. Monday Dec. 9, in Memorial Hospital of South Bend, IN. On Feb, 5, 1919, in Neshoba County, Miss, he was morn to the union of James and Mary (Alexander)Gill, who both preceded him in death. Mr. Gill helped build Mason Temple in Memphis, Tenn., the national headquarter of the Church of God in Christ, where he met and married his wife. Addie Mae Gill, who preceded him in death. Coming from Memphis in 1946, Andrew and Addie Mae moved to South Bend. He worked for the Studebaker Corporation until they close. He then worked an additional 12 years until he retirement with Standard Oil. Mrs. Gill was a member of Pentecostal Cathedral Church of God in Christ where he sang in the choir. Mr. Andrew Jack Gill leaves to cherish his memory a son, Lee Andrew (Lynne) Gill of St. Joseph, Mich; two grandchildren, Lee Andrew GillJr., of South Bend and Andre' Paul Gill of Ann Arbor, Mich; and two brothers, Carlton J. (Kathi) Gill and Paul (Phyllis) Gill, both of South Bend; along with a host of other relatives and friends. *******************************************************************
