Miller entertained six young ladies at luncheon Saturday in honor of Miss Gertrude Miller. Miss Miller left Monday for Washington, D. C., to attend school. Miss Bertha Currey delightfully entertained a few friends at her home, corner of William and Division streets, Thursday evening. The time was devoted to games and music. Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Korn, of German township, celebrated their 20th wedding anniversary on Saturday. Friends were present and much pleasure attended the happy event. The Amarauth club gave the first social dance of the season in the Occidental club rooms last evening. There were about 40 couples present and a most enjoyable evening was spent. The home of Miss Mamie Downes was the scene Saturday afternoon of a very pretty and enjoyable social event. She entertained about 40 of her young friends in celebration of her thirteenth birthday anniversary.
