    3. In Memory of Sergeant James Lee Foreman, who gave his life, while trying to save a fellow wounded soldier in his platoon. He was born November 26, 1945, in Warsaw, Indiana, to William A. and Leona Hoagland Foreman. He entered the Army on September 15, 1966, and served in B Company, 8th Infantry, 1st Batallion. He died on May 18, 1967, in Plieku, South Viet Nam, and a rifle range was dedicated in his honor at the former Fort Benjamin Harrison, near Indianapolis. With the closing of the base, the Memorial was moved to Warsaw, and rededicated in honor of James, at the Warsaw Airport, placed in a small park. This park is situated where the farmhouse stood where James grew up. His name if forever engraved on the Viet Nam Memorial.
