To all. There is lots of talk within the CC circles all over the nation (CC meaning County Coordinators) Some sites have been moved off of the rootsweb site by the CC's because of the buy-out of rootsweb by Ancestry. Ancestry is forcing the CC's to place banners on each page of their web site for Ancestry and the possibility of Ancestry taking from our sites for their gain. I myself am in a crossroads on what to do. I do not want what has been given in good faith to a free website to anyone who wants to research and moving to a website that will cost and keeping the information free to anyone. There is talk at this point of trying to find another server who will host the GenWeb community but it does not look good at this time. So hope all will bear with all the county CC's until this is all over. The problem with moving to some of the free web servers is the band width which is regulated such as GeoCities/Yahoo and some of the others. Another words when your bandwidth has been used up for a time frame no one is allowed into the site until that time frame expires, which sometimes is up to a week. So much for that idea. Some sites have been lucky enough to get into their library and use their server some are not so fortunate to be able to do that. Trying to keep the information on the web site free is becoming difficult. Too many are buying up the little guys and making a profit off of other people's work. Well, now I am just rambling so will conclude for now that I am looking at other aspects to keep the work that has been done so far free to all to research. ****************************************************************************** ************ Sharon Gill Vanden Bossche _Home Page_ (http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~familygenealogy03/index.htm) _E-mail_ (http://SharonV45@aol.com/) : Visit - _Honoring my Family Veteran's_ (http://www.freewebs.com/sharonv45/index.htm) Hostess of ST. I'd love to find Charles' parents; his father's name is unknown but mother's name possibly Sarah E. Good who remarried Alfred Eytchison; Charles was born in Tipton Co Indiana; later married Sarah E. Kesler in 1879 in Fulton Co., Indiana; Charles and Sarah are my great grandparents. He died in 1944 in Mishawaka, Indiana (St. Joseph Hospital); no info on her death. In 1920 and 1930 census Charles is first a "roomer" in Lake Co.; then in 1930 living with son Albert R. in Cook Co, Illinois and listed as "d" divorced. Before Charles death in 1944; he has moved back to South Bend (Obit says been there 14 years). Lots of questions! Pamela Stephens

In 1850 Lyman and Roxanna DAVIS HUNGERFORD and Abial and Lucyna DAVIS HUNGERFORD lived in St. Joseph County. They later settled in Elkhart County. My search is for the parents of Roxanna and Lucyna, Ezra and Lucia BRUNSON.
