    3. from Bill Wilson wwilson77@att.net <mailto:email=wwilson77@att.net> James Carson (1815-1893) and Mary Catherine Cosler (1827-1878) were my great-great grandparents. In a note about James Carson, Bob Gordon wrote: James Carson, b 19 December 1815 prob Greene Co., Ohio and died Jonesboro, Craighead Co., Ark., 17 March 1893. Â He married Mary Catharine Cosler, b 27 December 1827, d 17 November 1878 in Jonesboro, Ark. Â They were married in Shelby County, Indiana, 23 February 1854. Â He had a very interesting life.. I wonder what the interesting parts of his life were. My mother (not a descendant; my father was) told me that a somewhat distant relative in Jonesboro, Arkansas, where James and Mary Catherine settled, had a letter in which James was said to have been a Union spy during the Civil War. I can find nothing on this and wonder if that was the "interesting life" segment. No virus found in this incoming message.
