Thank you, Janet, so very much for the transcription of the 1840 census. Because of your meticulous attention to detail, I was able to identify several individuals who I know for sure now were members of my family -- as well as one who very well may have been. (I come from a family line [Surber] where a great many of them are deaf and your having included this information was what helped me tell for sure "who was who.") After working in offices all my life typing, I know only too well how much mind numbing, eye straining work this has been for you -- and what a generous gift to all of us.
